The stay

Slow days, warm evenings.

Breakfast in the open air, two saltwater pools, a spa cabana under the palms. The house is built for staying put.

Saltwater pool on a sun deck at dusk

What is included

Breakfast in the open air, two pools to drift between, a spa cabana under the palms.

Open-air kitchen with a long table

Mornings

Breakfast and the open-air kitchen

Breakfast is included and served until late, the way mornings should run on the coast. Fruit from the valley, eggs to order, fresh tortillas pressed by hand.

The kitchen stays open through the day for a long lunch or a quiet supper, with a short menu that follows what the market had that morning.

Saltwater pool on the sun deck

Water

The two saltwater pools

One pool catches the morning sun on the lower deck, shallow and warm for an easy soak. The other sits higher up, longer and cooler, set for laps before the heat arrives.

Both are saltwater, gentle on skin and eyes, with shaded daybeds and a steady supply of cold towels.

Open-sided spa cabana by the garden

Quiet

The spa cabana

A single open-sided cabana at the edge of the garden, screened by palms and built for one treatment at a time. Massage, facials, and a short list of local-oil rituals.

Book a slot at the front desk a day ahead. Mornings are coolest; late afternoon catches the breeze off the water.

Surfboards by the gate at first light

Out the door

Surf and bikes

The breaks are a short ride down the hill, mellow in summer and longer in winter. We keep boards and wetsuits for guests, plus a few stand-up paddleboards for flat mornings.

Bicycles wait by the gate for the ride into town, ten minutes of dirt road and dust before the first taqueria.

Courtyard at sunset hour

Evenings

Sunset hour at the honor bar

As the light drops, the courtyard fills in. The honor bar runs on trust: pour a mezcal or a cold beer, write it down, settle up at checkout.

Most nights end here, on the low wall facing west, with the last of the sun and not much to say.

Good to know

The stay, answered.

Is breakfast included, and when is it served?
A full breakfast is included with every room and served in the courtyard until late. It changes with what the kitchen finds at the market, so expect fruit, fresh eggs, and good coffee.
Can I bring my dog?
Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the Garden Casita and the Bungalow for a small cleaning fee. Let us know in advance so we can set up a bed and bowls, and keep them leashed in shared areas.
What is on site beyond the rooms?
Two saltwater pools, an open-air kitchen, a spa cabana, an honor bar, a small library, beach towels, and bicycles you are free to borrow. Fast wifi reaches every room and the gardens.
Do I need to book the spa or surf ahead?
The pools, bikes, and honor bar are always open to guests. Spa treatments, surf lessons, and the kitchen table dinner book up, so add them at booking or at the front desk a day ahead.
