The place

A pueblo mágico, an hour from Cabo.

Todos Santos is galleries, taquerias, and empty beaches on the Pacific side of Baja. We will point you to the good ones and keep the rest a secret.

Todos Santos town street at dusk

The town grew up around sugar mills and a freshwater spring, which is why a desert this dry runs green with palms. The old mission church still anchors the center, and the streets around it hold a tight grid of adobe houses, courtyards, and shade.

In the last twenty years the artists arrived, then the surfers, then the cooks. It stayed small through all of it. You can walk the whole center in an afternoon, eat well twice, and still make the beach for sunset.

Things to do

A courtyard lunch in Todos Santos

Eat

Taquerias on the corner, a long lunch in a courtyard, and our own kitchen for the nights you stay in. The fish comes off the boats that morning.

A surf break south of town

Surf

The breaks south of town run mellow in summer and long in winter. We keep boards and wetsuits, and the front desk knows which spot is working.

An open gallery near the church

Galleries

This is an art town first. A dozen galleries and studios sit within a few blocks of the church, open most afternoons, quiet and worth the wander.

Getting around

Getting here, answered.

What is the nearest airport?
Los Cabos International (SJD) is the closest, about an hour by car. Most guests fly in there. La Paz (LAP) is a similar distance to the north if the schedule suits you better.
Can you arrange a transfer?
Yes. We work with a local driver and can book a private transfer from SJD straight to the hotel. Send us your flight details and we will have someone waiting with your name at arrivals.
Should I rent a car, and is there parking?
Town is walkable, so a car is not essential, but it helps for beach days and day trips. We have free on-site parking, and the rental desks are all at the airport.
How do I get into town from the hotel?
The historic center is a 10-minute walk along a quiet road, or a short ride. Borrow one of our bicycles, or we can call a taxi any time you would rather not walk back uphill.
