The kitchenThe place
Todos Santos is galleries, taquerias, and empty beaches on the Pacific side of Baja. We will point you to the good ones and keep the rest a secret.
The town grew up around sugar mills and a freshwater spring, which is why a desert this dry runs green with palms. The old mission church still anchors the center, and the streets around it hold a tight grid of adobe houses, courtyards, and shade.
In the last twenty years the artists arrived, then the surfers, then the cooks. It stayed small through all of it. You can walk the whole center in an afternoon, eat well twice, and still make the beach for sunset.
Things to do
Taquerias on the corner, a long lunch in a courtyard, and our own kitchen for the nights you stay in. The fish comes off the boats that morning.
The kitchenThe breaks south of town run mellow in summer and long in winter. We keep boards and wetsuits, and the front desk knows which spot is working.
Surf and bikesThis is an art town first. A dozen galleries and studios sit within a few blocks of the church, open most afternoons, quiet and worth the wander.
