Marisol

Legal

Privacy policy

What we collect when you reserve or write to us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Last updated June 1, 2026.

This is sample copy for Marisol, a fictional hotel used in a design template. It is not a real privacy policy and it is not legal advice. Do not rely on it for any actual business.

What we collect

When you reserve a room or contact us, we collect the details you give us directly. That usually means your name, email address, phone number, dates of stay, the number of guests, and any notes you add to your booking, such as dietary needs or an arrival time.

If you pay a deposit, our payment processor handles your card details; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems. When you browse the site, we collect basic technical information automatically, such as your device type and the pages you view.

How we use it

We use your information to do the things you asked us to do, and very little else: to hold your room, confirm your dates, take a deposit, prepare for your arrival, and answer your questions before your stay.

If you opt in, we may send a short seasonal update from the journal. You can stop these at any time with the link in the email.

Cookies

Our site uses a small number of cookies to keep it working and to understand, in aggregate, which pages people visit. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.

You can accept or decline optional cookies through the consent banner, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. The site will still function for the most part.

Sharing

We share your information only with the services we need to run the hotel, such as our payment processor for deposits and our email provider for confirmations. We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not share it for someone else's marketing.

If the law requires us to disclose something, we will, and we will tell you where we are allowed to.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it once we no longer need it for a booking or for our records. To make a request, write to us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the hotel or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted clearly.
